Zixuan Deng (ESR-11) and his supervisor Arri Priimagi (Tampere University) have collaborated with artist Laura Dahlberg for her exhibition Abiotic Variables feat. Alien Babies which can be visited at the HAM Gallery, Helsinki, Finland, from 5 August to 17 September 2023.
The liquid crystal-based soft robots developed by Zixuan come to life in this exhibition thanks to their actuation properties, reacting to different stimuli such as light.
